I want to build muscle in my upper body( bigger arms, chest etc.) but I cant afford to go to the gym and I dont have acces to weights. 1. You don’t have to eliminate carbs to lose weight. Yes, it is true, low-carb diets do help you drop pounds quickly but the drawback is that they are difficult to follow because they are so restrictive. However, you can reap the same fast benefits by being smart about when to consume them. You want to eat complex carbohydrates such as whole wheat breads, pastas, rice, cereal, corn and potatoes by lunch, then after lunch shift away from carbohydrates and only consume vegetables and lean meats. You will see that your body response positively to this shift and the jump start to your weight loss will be inspiring.

2. Avoid the bloated feeling. It is hard to feel on track when the foods you eat leave you feeling bloated. Avoid foods such as beans which are difficult for the body to digest and if you have problems with dairy foods you will want to limit them as well. The most common culprit when it comes to bloating is sodium. You want to watch your intake closely and try to consume 2,500 milligrams or less per day. This tip will prevent water retention and that “over-full” sensation that comes with bloating.

3. Before you eat it ask yourself if you need it. This is a powerful mindset shift. So often we eat just because the clock on the wall says it is time to eat or because someone else is eating and we want to join them. A great habit to get into is asking yourself how hungry you truly are. Picture a hunger scale with “0″ meaning you are starving and “10″ meaning you are stuffed. Then when you are considering eating something simply ask yourself, “How hungry am I?” If your hunger number is over the mid-range (greater than 4,5 or 6) then your body doesn’t need feed or you can eat less then you planned.

These are just a few good weight loss tips that will help you move to a new level and recapture the motivation needed to reach your weight loss goal.
